[drabble] silence

silence; super-drabble, angsty sad romance, G, Jonghyun/Taemin, 227 words
Taemin didn’t know who he was, the man with chocolate hair sitting before him.
But he always stroked his hair, and kissed him softly on the cheek, and Taemin felt warm.
“I’m Jonghyun.” He would say, and his lips would smile but his eyes were sad, so sad, and Taemin’s heart hurt, and he wanted to hug him.
“I’m Jonghyun and I’m in love with you.”
And Taemin thought he was in love, too.
“You’re Jonghyun and you’re in love… with me?”
And he would smile sadly again, and Taemin’s lips would curve downwards and he would flinch a little because, he wasn’t going to lie, he was scared but felt so happy, because oh wow, love, love like how his parents would love each other, how they would love Taemin, how Taemin would love...
Who?
Then he would spread his arms and envelop the one named Jonghyun so that their chests were pressed together, hearts beating in sync, and for once, for a little while, Taemin felt like he belonged, and that he was in love before, that he used to be able to hold hands with someone and feel their warmth, and feel their heartbeat, but he was unsure of who it was, or if what he thought was even true. What was love? What was Jonghyun to Taemin? Where was he? Who was he, really?
But nothing.
He couldn’t remember.
And oh, how it hurt.
The next day, all the warmth would all be forgotten, and they’d have to start all over again. And Jonghyun would smile sadly, and break down into tears when Taemin wasn’t looking, but they would always wake up in the same house, under the same roof. Because Taemin didn't have a place to go. But they would always wake up, and another day would begin, fresh, clean, like paper before a poem.
They just wouldn't be together.
Just apart.
Just a little broken.
