Dude, I'm getting a Dell!
After very little thought, I've decided to buy a Dell on my own. So I ordered it. It's top of the line. And it's on its way. Hopefully I should be back online soon. This will put a severe strain on my wallet for the next month or two but I don't care.
I am so excited about my new computer! I can't wait!!
Work was pure terror yesterday. Tracey called in an hour before her shift was supposed to start to say that she quit. Naturally, the only person screwed over was me. Oh well.
I was supposed to be off tomorrow but one of my managers asked me to work and that he'd give me next Saturday off, so I said hell mo'fuggin' yeah. I would much rather work a dead Monday than a Saturday.
RENE BOUGHT ME "JENNIFER LOPEZ: THE REEL ME" FOR MY BIRTHDAY! BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER! Of course, I chose it so he doesn't get credit for that, but STILL BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER! Well, this year at least.
I am still bitter about the lack of love on my birthday. I realize how gay it sounds but seriously, I got flowers from a girl I haven't interacted with daily since 2001, and got two cards in the mail -- one from my aunt who I haven't seen since 2003, and one from Dr. Kurpis' office. Nothing else from any "friends" or family (excluding parents & Diana.) How sad is that?
Maybe it sounds dumb, but I take birthdays very seriously, not just my own but everyone's. I always make sure to send someone a card if they're important to me, or take five minutes out of my day to call. I even buy things for people when I don't have any money because I want them to know they mean something to me. It's one day out of the year. That's it.
I don't know. If other people don't seem to care, I guess I'll stop caring too. It hurts when people you think you matter to can't even call.
Anyway, sticking to my motto, there are worse things in life.
