EqD: The State of Brony Music
"The State of Brony Music, It’s History.”
Does that mean it’s over?
Ok, jokes about misused apostrophes aside, I really like a lot of brony music. It's been one of my favorite parts of the fandom. That said, I have thought for a while that it's declined. The latest MLP remixes I have are from Season 4. The one artist I still really love and listen to is Foozogz. Since then, we've had 2 Equestria Girls movies (including Rainbow Rocks) and all of Season 5 (including RaRa aka Lena Hall) and nothing... I'm probably not following the scene well enough though.
Personally I blame dubstep. I'm afraid bronies picked up on that to a large degree just as that style of music was going out of style. Then again, Foozogz is like synthpop combined with jcore or happy hardcore which are all even more dated but they're also a better fit for the style of pop songs on the show.
