John was really excited about us booking him and I spent a good part of the first set crying, thinking about how John would be leaning forward watching his fingers and noting tunings and licks....
David dedicated the last two songs to John ~ boy -- he did him proud.
David told the story of doing the TV Late Night show circuit and getting the full "limo, greenroom, powder sparkie water treatment" then flying home and having to deliver the local newspaper cause his son (the paper carrier) was sick....
Yep, life has a way of evening you out and shrinking swelled heads :)
