Drumming
I am so pumped right now. I just got back from the Solstice Service at my UU church, which included a West African drum circle -- I LOVED it. It brought back the same feelings I used to get when I tap danced (after all, what is tap dancing but drumming with your feet?) and reminded me of how much I miss dancing (I had to stop dancing several years ago when I developed bursitis in my hip). So now I want to try drumming like that. One of the people who led the drum circle teaches at the Drum Connection in Arlington, MA (a few towns over from where I live). After the holidays, I'll have to see if there's a weekend class I can take. ::bouncebouncebounce::
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy holiday, whatever it is you celebrate, and thank all of the thoughtful people who sent me a card (some homemade and with delightful surprises inside! :) even though I opted out this year: alice23kate, anelith, desoto_hia873, hilleviw, itsabigrock, knotted_rose, lunabee34, nwhepcat, sunnyd_lite, and wesleysgirl.
