As an after-thought, just decided to put this under a cut...
The term 'jacking off' - do you reckon there was some lad called Jack who was always masterbating? And whereever he went, people would find him wanking behind trees, behind shopping trolleys, behind encyclopedias in public libraries - so when wanking became fashionable, everyone was like, "I'm gonna go and do a Jack." (As though to say "I'm going to go and fuck anyone by that name." ^^ But that's a whole other train of thought that I'll veer away from for now.)
And perhaps the 'off' came from some sort of competitive nature? Like a dance-off. But a jack-off. Who can 'jack' the most, or with most style or something.
Right. Highly amused, but graphic images are teetering on the edge of my consciousness and I'd rather not invite them in. ^^
(By the way, I'm not just being random - I youtubed 'wiL Francis dancing' to see if someone had compiled all of his dancing moments, and came across a video entitled 'wiL Francis jacking off'. Which led to this thought process. =P )
