So you're interested in hearing my well-reasoned thoughts on what these trailers indicate the filmic experience of Order of the Phoenix may be like? My remarks are as follows:
THE AWESOME HAS MADE ME GO BLIND! Umbridge's little-girlish yet hair-raising laugh, THE DEPARTMENT OF MYSTERIES, Cho and Harry being stupid awkward in the cutest possible way, VOLDEMORT IN A TIE, Ron's little "right on, Harry!" fist-pump, VOLDEMORT BREATHING FIRE, hello thestrals walking right out of my mind's eye, VOLDEMORT TAKING A SHOWER IN BROKEN GLASS, and everybody digging out their wands and striking their best superstar action pose!!! And did I mention VOLDEMORT and how he is all over this trailer like a bad, noseless rash????
No but really, did I just see Voldemort wearing Gucci and licking fire, or was that all just a fever dream? Fever dream is actually EXACTLY how I'd describe this trailer, this movie, and while we're at it this novel. So well done David Yates and the WB team! This is faithful to the book in that it will probably blow your brains out the back of your head through the sheer force of its rock-and-roll misery. Just what we all need the week Harry dies. I swear, the entire world will collectively lose its marbles that week, this trailer decides it. THIS TRAILER IS THE FIRST HARBINGER OF THE END, PEOPLE. THE APOCALYPSE IS HERE IT IS NOW IT IS UNENDINGLY AWESOME
