Out of the three days of this weekend, today was the only productive day - yesterday doesn't count because the poem I made is still not finished. Today, although I woke up late (at about 10am), I was able to go to the library to return some books and to study. Yes, our library was open - and I thank God dearly for it. I was able to avoid paying library fees on overdue books AND I was able to read the cases i didn't have on my laptop.
In addition I was finally able to make it all the way to the Institute of Human Rights (IHR) and inquire whether or not I could apply for the RA stint: they said I could. It's a long way from being accepted but it's still an opportunity. An interesting fact about the IHR: their MV statement is to 1) Stimulate 2) Play and 3) Expand. If you don't believe me then check
their profile out. I also found out that Sir Barry did give a smoke-up list. I can't drop anymore - and I never had any plans of dropping - but it's still comforting to find out that you're not on it. And if you are then at least it's fair warning that you have to focus on crim II EVEN MORE for the finals.
Finally I was able to do some rounds in the academic oval again - after sooooo long. I couldn't run even if a rabid pitbull salivating to the pavement and growling menacingly was chasing after me. So I walked - leisurely. It was really nice. And when I was staring at the trees near the UP Tennis Club I realized how unsurprising it was for ancient tribes to worship nature (yes - that's how leisurely I was walking). Their towering stance, the long embrace of their branches, the majesty of their leaves, and everything else about them makes you think they were guardian deities (much like the towers in DoTA perhaps?).
That's it for me for now. Toodles!
