Woo, it's been a while. I missed you LJ, and your orange- and pink-ness. I currently have orange fingernails actually.
Anyway. Can't remember everything that's happened since I last wrote. I've had huge troubles with the university computers - they take ages to log me on. So I've taken to borrowing other people's ones.
Last weekend we went to the museum, which was really groovy. It's really nice, but we didn't finish browsing, so we'll have to go back again at some other point. Not that that's a problem! It's right by the university, yay.
Anyway, this weekend it was Lottie's birthday so some of her friends from home came to stay. Craziness ensued. It was good though! Keith brought a truly horrifying cake that was pretty and multicoloured, but only because it contained 5 bottles worth of food-dye. Eurgh. After a couple of bites I started to feel strange. But so worth it for the experience.
There was also a lot of sitting around, and consumption of both alcohol and stimulants, and playing poker in the corridor and going up to the pub to play pool. Lottie and Keith and Mike also discovered that the JCR is still open at 5am, so they played pool in there on Friday night. Meanwhile, I slept in the corridor for a bit. But it got uncomfortable so I eventually moved to my room. It was quite nice though. If I'd been on some pillows or something it would have been fab.
Hmm. So, there were all manner of other goings on over the weekend. Today hasn't contained quite so much excitement, being a Monday, but I've got through my lectures, with only a bit of sleeping, and then had a nap (lulled to sleep by Radio 4), and played guitar for a bit (and worked out how to play one song again! yay!), and then there was dinner and the amazingness of hearing people discussing the Jenni L facebook group (Jenni L is one of the dinner ladies, and it always in a bad mood. Lottie started a facebook group about her, "Jenni L froze my soul with her eyes", and loads of randoms have joined- It's marvellous), and now I've taken over Lottie's room while she's at her songwriting class.
Mum just called, and we had a lovely long discussion about rugs. I haven't really spoken to her much recently, so it was nice to chat.
Also! Fabulous news! The Decemberists are playing the Leadmill (in Sheffield)! SO going! Will go and have a look at tickets now...
