three cheers would not be enough (filtered: Lucius Malfoy)

Boss --

I expect you're tired of hearing it by now, but allow me to congratulate you again on your well-deserved victory. Now that it's safely in the bag, I'll admit that I was concerned, in the last few days before the voting, that Exorior were making significant headway in changing the minds of some of your less resolute supporters. A margin of only two hundred votes! I found myself thinking this morning that it may have been more lucky than we know that the election wasn't held any later than yesterday, or Lupin could have closed the gap and pulled ahead.

But then I realised that was a foolish thing to think. In the first place, the election was held yesterday, and so worrying about what if it hadn't been is pointless, isn't it? And in the second place, if he'd managed to pull ahead, you'd have caught up and regained the lead in no time. The fact is that you are and always have been the only reasonable choice. Lupin would have led the Wizarding world into the Muggle world; you, though, will lead us into the future.

I have never been prouder than I am today to be in your service.

yours sincerely,

W. Macnair
Exsequor
