So how'd you come to this community? I think i know most of the other ponces, or I know someone who knows them. But you are minty fresh and new, so where'd you hear about us?
No, actually I posted an 'add me' intro on the Uni community and she's been one of the far more interesting people who've responded. I don't know in terms of actually knowing her ie: I couldn't pick her from a bar of soap at uni.
Yeah, another english Lit miscreant. 4th year of what was going to be an Arts/Science degree but is going ot end up just being an arts degree becuase the science stopped being interesting real quickly. I'm glad I have stayed this long though, because it took me a whie to start enjoying the place.
You mean science was, at one stage, interesting? Trippy.
Replace science with education and I can see myself in very similar shoes this time in three years. Although, I do enjoy the place (yet I despise the commuting) I’m sure the novelty will wear off soon enough.
Yeah, i was an all round nerd in High School. Science, History, English, you name it, I wanted to be the best at it. I did really love science at one point and not just because I was ten times better at it than any of the other girls at school. Learning about the 'why' of things is really beautiful and revelatory at first, but whne you get down to the really hard slog of high lvel science it gets way too boring and ambiguous for me. So I've become an arts bum an I dwell in the world of the abstract and imaginary, far away from bunsen burners and psych rat labs.
