Hello! As you know, tomorrow (today for some of you) is the Quidditch World Cup between Argentina and Ireland. This is a post summarizing some of the things of interest that took place. Of course, you can make up other events that happened in the camp or during the game.

  • The day before the Cup, there was a small fight at the water tap between a group of Argentina supporters and a group of Ireland supporters. The crowd was broken up by Ministry officials before the incident developed into anything too serious. No one was injured. The morning of the game, a tent will be doused in a large quantity of water, waking up the inhabitants. Revenge for the previous day's fight? Who knows. This is in the Ireland supporter's section of camp.

  • For a couple hours early in the morning, the Irish team will have a special tent set up (surrounded by a lot of high security, of course!) where fans can meet the players, chat with them a little and get autographs. Remember that not everyone will be able to meet the players. It's just the people that get there first!

  • Daisy will be wandering around wearing a bright pink set of robes and a giant hat with feathers and a bird's nest on it, complete with a mother bird and eggs. On the back of her robe is a giant, rhinestone-bordered shamrock in green. She will tell everyone who listens that the bird and eggs represent her students hatching into adulthood. She will be sitting beside Edward.

  • Gwenog will be sitting in the row in front of the Potters, dressed to support Ireland. She will be wearing a green pin in her hair, and won't be paying attention to anything but the game. As a result due to the intensities of the match, she will constantly hit and injure the two people sitting beside her. At one point she gets so angry that she chucks her hair pin behind her, where it hits Albus.

  • A small group of men wearing only trousers will be sitting in the row behind the Thomas family. Each will have a painting of an Argentine player on their stomach. They will be yelling very loudly leading up to and throughout the game.

  • The Minister will also there! Kingsley Shacklebolt will of course be sitting in the Top Box beside Zara Quince, and Byron Quince, Zara's brother, will be sitting on her other side.

  • The Argentine mascot (the Pombero) will emerge into the stadium amidst nice sounding bird songs. Though at first they might appear a little menacing, in actuality, they have beautiful voices. There are twenty of them, all standing at about six feet tall. They will transform into various animals from Argentina in smooth, fluid movements, putting on quite a show. At the end they will suddenly become invisible. Seeing as most people aren't aware they have this ability, most will believe that instead of become invisible they simply disappeared completely.

  • The Leprechauns haven't changed much since their last egression and are still as mischievous as ever. This time, to make their show a little more exciting, they have brought along little faeries that are often mistaken by unknowing Muggles as lightning bugs. They will put on a spectacular light show, with the Leprechauns roaming around the stands to toss their gold around.

  • Arsenio Fernandez and Conan O'Carroll will get into a lengthy argument with one another midair. The argument will escalate into a physical fight, which will disrupt play and force the referees to call a thirty-minute timeout.

  • The game itself will be very close. The Chasers on both sides perform equally well, and the game will be nearly tied all the way through. Argentina will be ahead one moment, only to fall behind later and then catch up again. It will be essentially left to the Seekers to make the winning move. Who caught it? We will let you know tomorrow!
