  Fashion inspired by the 'Roaring Twenties'
After the First World War the role of women and there fashion/style changed. At 1926 the flapper fashion embraced all things and styles modern: short sleek hair, a shorter than average shapeless shift dress, a chest as flat as a board, long cigarette holders... The French called the flapper fashion style the 'garçonne'.
