Snip Buzz Bangs!
Amazingly enough, I was quite productive today! This is amazing, because it has been so long since I've been motivated enough to be productive, I thought it was a lost ability to me. But I did, in fact, get actual work done in addition to making several appointments and going out to lunch. You might snicker and comment on how you could get that done in little more than an hour or so, but I tell you, it's hard with a baby! Of course, there are so many moms out there who accomplish so much more with little effort, but for me, this is a good day :).
Alex Watch: Today one of the things we accomplished was getting Alex's First Haircut. It was pretty cool since there is an entire place devoted to cutting the hairs belonging to babies and children. They have chairs in the shapes of various things that you would be reminded of the outside of K-mart back in the "old days"; planes, horsies, etc. Each chair is in front of its very own television screen which of course has a vcr/dvd player. The kids, of course, get to choose what they want to watch while they're there. There is also a kids play area. The place looks like a mini-carnival. The creepy thing was the old guy who came in without any kids to get his hair cut. Of course there were pictures, and the obligatory lock of hair that I will be placing in his scrapbook. One more milestone down...
