free parking
So I must write an update about my weekend trip, which I will do, but not right now because there is no time. Instead, this update will be about normal stuff. Such as, today I decided to fuck paying $50 every two weeks for parking; I'm finding it for free... and it took me an extra 10 minutes, really not that bad, but I found free, non-metered, non-permitted, parking! Sweet! And my car was still there in one piece when I returned after work, and the walk is either just as long or shorter than the walk to the parking lot. So that is excellent, because $50 out of a $350 check is a LOT.
In other news, I (finally) recieved my first Art in America in the mail over the weekend while I was gone! So exciting! I'm going to begin reading it in a few minutes when I meet Laura at Kaldis or wherever (oh shit, I don't know where we're meeting!).
Also, my (ex?) advisor finally emailed me back about the job at Beloit. So we'll see where that goes... it's looking like probably not a possibility at this point, but you never know. Ok. I think that's it for the moment. Ci vediamo.
