Ahhh, I usually use Photoshop to make my icons :)

Some of these icons I didn't make and I just took from other people [with credit of course!]

yeah sometimes i like to take icons too with credits of course. :D

But your friends only banner is so cute! I love the texture of the pic... ANd i'm even still confused how to outline pics like your icon where a person is holding korean flags!

I think it can be used using the 'stroke' or 'outline' on Photoshop, I'm not really sure how it is on GIMP.
