today was pretty kick ass.
I went to schlaf's party. Heard the ben bradlow experience, twatc and period 4. The ben bradlow experience was just that. an experience. It was really cool, everyone sitting around in a small run down shed listening to a single bluesy acoustic guitar and bradlow's vocals. It was so simple yet so powerful. It wasn't just the performance it was an atmosphere of complete comfort and love. It was really beatnik-esque. I really enjoyed it.
Then came twatc in what is without a doubt their best performance i have ever seen. the new songs were good, and they definite grew as musicians and are much tighter now than they have been.
period 4 was also very impressive. Fine musicianship, hard rocking and very tight playing.
Plus i got to meet some very cool new people.
