man, i have totally rediscovered Barenaked Ladies. Their third album "born on a pirate ship" is so awesome, its a canadian grunge folk rock fusion. It so kicks ass, it rocks, but it also has a sweet teenage sensitivity that makes you feel like you know these guys. This was when no one in the states knew about them. they were kind of indie. What an awesome album. Now im listening to "stunt," which is just as good. Its incredible how good rock can be when you drop the over-used beatles/led zep formulas and learn how to make music from yourself and not from your idols. this is what i think Barenaked ladies have done. They are the kings of easy listening alt rock. I loved them in middle school. Then my love for them waned, now its rekindled.
