Summer 2006
1. Found the perfect job and lost it two weeks later; haven't found another one since.
2. Sailed boats big and small.
3. Watched movies with Kaja.
4. Read books I'd been meaning to read.
5. Made things for Alma and Patrick and Joe.
6. Hoped I'll still be able to go to Burning Man.
7. (more currently) Laid on Drew's bed waiting for him to come back from picking a lock at this dad's house so we can go to a wedding, where I don't think I'll be eating $500 worth of food, although that was the original impression. Well, it'll still be nice I'm sure, just not so much of a social experiment where I take notes.
8. Three evenings ago I got up on my mom's mare and rode around bareback, making sure to stay in sight of her new horse, a little one-year-old Dutch Warmblood. He still had a fit, charging back and forth along the fence, whinnying his head off. It was the first time he had seen another horse being ridden, and I suppose it made him nervous. What was I doing above that horse? Possibly killing her.
9. The next adventure is to find the waterfall on Hatchet Creek. My dad pointed to it on the map.
