Yea, Yoko is definitely one of my fav Johnny's. It's sad to hear.
I think I understand how he's able to go back to work, since I've been through the same situation myself. His sense of responsibility is probably his top priority right now. It's not that he's not grieving or doesn't want to, but because the sense of duty (of being the eldest son to provide for the family) and also commitment to those who are working with him that are driving him to go back to work. It's just that life goes on even though that person's left and I don't doubt he realizes that as much as he's love his mom. He'll be grieving a lot at first and still over the years to come, but I think he has many supportive people around him to help him through it.

I think it's a bit too amazing how much he's still putting into his work though. Maybe working to forget? =(

I guess I'm still shocked because I haven't ever heard of a death in the JE world before. But I can't say I've been in it very long either. |:
