Pom-Stress
Some of you might remember my post from like February-ish? I'm on Harrison's now second-year JV Poms (Yup, I'm on JV again...) So of the 13 that were on the team last year, 5 moved to Varsity, 5 stayed on JV, and 3 quit. So as of tryouts, the 5 and 5 were pretty apparent, but now 6 incoming freshman are on JV. This is great that we have new members but our squad has shrunk by two. There are now 11 pommers...Poms is a numbers sport is it not? And then another obstacle occured - the Varsity coach quit. Last year the varsity girls were horriiiiblle, they even made her cry. So automatically, our coach moves up which is NOT GOOD. We don't have another coach yet, but our old coach/Varsity coach will do both. This isn't the problem -> we're having another tryout in August, but would you guys think it a good idea to maybe talk about combining JV and varsity? This woudl give us a team of 31, and I think it would just look better...none of our team really knows how to make a squad work with 11 girls...thanks for any help :)
