I just ran across this letter that was written by my 2nd cousin, 9x removed through my maternal grandfather's side.  This is so incredibly interesting!  I love the glimpses into what life was really like for them.  And the woman who fought off the bear in this story was my 9x great aunt!  Cool!

I was searching for information on my great aunt Lena Jo and I found something AWESOME!!! I found her senior yearbook online. It is the ONLY yearbook from that school that is entirely online AND it happens to be the sophomore year of my grandparents! So my aunt gave me a big bag full of photos and documents to scan and upload to our family tree.  Y'all got to see a handful of pics earlier today from my childhood (in a locked post) but there was a lot of much older stuff in there too.

The very sweetest thing was a love letter from my great-grandfather to my great-grandmother in 1917.
