The Haunted Acere Woods

Feb 27, 2009 01:16

Jake secured his can of Pepsi from the sulking vending machine (it sometimes spat curses when kicked,) and threaded his way through the cafeteria towards the small mobile commotion in one corner that was Holly Carroll. It was a Friday afternoon, so the cafeteria wasn't densely populated, but it seemed that Jake and Charlotte (or "Liz," as she ( Read more... )

"Ooooh, hi Jake!" the young witch greeted with an energetic wave, before quickly excusing herself from her friends and promising to catch up with them later. She didn't so much walk as bounce over to him. "So~ what's up?"

OOC: Just a little not it's 'Lil' rather than Liz, since she goes by her middle name Lillian. /OOC

Lil walked into the cafeteria, just about the same time that Holly noticed Jake over in their side of the room. Lillian knew she was a few minutes late to their little meeting, as she had stopped by her room to change into something more appropriate for their 'excursion'. It wouldn't do to get her uniform messed up on this.

She paused to scan the cafeteria, for Jake and Holly. It wasn't that busy there at this time, but the cafeteria was still pretty big to hold all the student body for their breaks. It took her a moment to find them, Holly making it easy to find with her bouncing around in excitement.
She really liked the girl, she was rather fun and interesting to be around as it turned out. Apparently Holly had noticed that she had finally arrived and was waving to her from across the room.

"Well," Jake replied, "I brought my bag of tricks, for starters." He dangled his backpack from one hand to demonstrate.

He glanced futiley around the room before turning to Holly once more. "Um, do you know what Lil looks like? I've never met her in person before, so I wont' recognize her unless you introduce us."

"She's right there!" Holly announced, pointing, then waving again. One never told Holly that it was rude to point - it was practical, and the idea would only confuse her. And she would probably end up doing it anyway.

Lil walked up to the two just then. "Hi Holly, and Hello Jake. Looks like everyone is ready for this so I think we can just run over the details for this."

OOC note: For reference, Lil is wearing a long-sleeved top that near covers her hands with the flared sleeves, and jeans that won't restrict her in combat if needed.(since skirts are Not very practical for that) This comes into play once we are into the woods later but I'm sure there can be something to be said beforehand. ;)

Jake swiveled his head to look. "Oh, okay." Relieved now that things were moving towards business once more, he gestured politely towards a nearby table.

Jake nodded to Lil. "Yeah, this is your show. Where do you plan to begin your investigation?"

Lil sat down at the table before answering Jake's question. "Well, as I mentioned before when we were messaging each other about this is that I when I was poking around to see what was up with the spirits in the forest, they where being rather fussy about talking to me." turning to Holly for a second, she continued on.
"Holly mentioned to me that she knows a spirit in the woods that may be able to answer some of my questions concerning what has been going on around here. I assume that since she knows where he is that she would be able to lead us to this ghost's location.
Still we shouldn't let our guard down in there, there's no telling what we could run into. Especially since I was picking up on a spirit barrier that appears to be deeper within the forest."

"George'll be so happy to have visitors again," Holly said happily - George being the ghost in the woods. "I don't think he's had a lot of contact with people since he died, since he never leaves the forest. He knows lots of other ghosts though~"
