Nothing’s sacred, the days are cheap
Truth is thin on the ground
Still our prophets are crucified
Nobody believes we’re stumbling
It’s Friday, but Sunday is coming

Someone’s saying a prayer tonight
For hungry mouths to be filled
Someone kneels in the dark somewhere
And darkness is already crumbling
It’s Friday, but Sunday comes

Sunday - Hallelujah - it’s not so far, it’s not so far away
Sunday - Hallelujah - it’s not so far, it’s not so far away

Broken promises, weary hearts
But one promise remains:
Crucified, he will come again
It’s Friday, but Sunday is coming
It’s Friday, but Sunday comes

Sunday - Hallelujah - it’s not so far, it’s not so far away
Sunday - Hallelujah - it’s not so far, it’s not so far away

Darkness is already crumbling
It’s Friday, but Sunday is coming

Sunday - Hallelujah - it’s not so far, it’s not so far away
Sunday - Hallelujah - it’s not so far, it’s not so far away

by Tree63, link to youtube video, the video's weird but you can hear the song

Ok, now let me explicate hahaha.  I heard this song yesterday and then I heard it this morning and it like smacked me in the face.  It reminded me not just of the historical event of the Resurrection, but of every time we await the Divine Liturgy, and most importantly, of every year that we celebrate Pascha and Bright Week and understand it as the Eighth Day which will never end.  And isn't that the TRUE Sunday that we're waiting for?  When we'll be in eternal communion with God?  When every day is Pascha?  This song makes me SO happy.

Someone totally wrote on the youtube video, "i don't like this song.  we should worship God everyday, not just on Sunday."  Which is TOTALLY NOT what the song is talking about.
