lights!

The back porch lighting project:

Step One: Notice I only have red light tubes, decide to hang them anyway.
Step Two: Discover that one of the two of them is mildly broken (the section farthest from the power end does not light) Decide to hang the other one anyway.
Step Three: Hang it, and find that it is long enough to go about 3/5 of the distance I want it to. No problem, the other one is 1/3 broken...
Step Four: Get two white tubes from work.
Step Five: Discover that one of the white tubes is mildly broken. (the section nearest the power end does not light)
Step Six: Swap the fully functional whtie tube for the hanging red one. Break 1/2 the clips.
Step Seven: find power drill, replace broken clips.
That's where we are now. Not bright enough, but better than with the red, which was very dim. Next I'm at work I'll swap the broken ones for good white ones. Then hang a second and maybe third white one, or maybe a white and a blue, which I think may cast a more pleasing shade overall..
