I believe in Santa.
When I was very small, I believed in Santa Claus, the big fat guy in the red suit who brings presents on the night of the 24th of December.
Gradually I was led to the understanding that Santa does what we all want to do, what we all should do on Christmas: Give other people as much happiness as we can.
And as I got a little older I learned that Santa can't do it by himself; he needs us to help him sometimes. Sometimes a lot.
By the time I was told flat out by the neighbor kid who was just a little older than I that Santa Claus didn't exist, I laughed. Of course Santa doesn't exist as a person.
Santa Claus is in all of us. No; Santa Claus is all of us.
Ho ho ho.
Merry Christmas, every one.
