It's a miracle! I can see!
My new glasses arrived today.
The pair I intended to be my new everyday glasses are perfect. Just like my old glasses but with hinges, and a distinct improvement in visual acuity.
The sunglasses make me look like a European cyberpunk villain. I think I like it. I'm disappointed that even though they fold up very very small, they came with standard-sized case. Have to see about that.
The bifocals.... It's weird. When I look past my regular glasses at something close, it takes a noticeable time and some effort I can feel for my eyes to refocus. And I just plain can't focus on close things through my regular glasses.
I can't see any difference (once the refocusing is done) between looking through the bifocal part of the bifocals and looking without the glasses at all. But there is much less refocusing time/no discomfort with the glasses.
And they arrived today! Apparently, registered mail gets delivered even on postal holidays.
