This weekend I'll be in Columbus attending Heartland Havoc; the Eastern regional WFTDA championships.

I'm totally psyched. The Windy City Rollers have a pretty good chance of winning there, at least getting into the top 4, which would send them to the nationals ( Read more... )

I'm sorry, it sounds like you are telling me my interests are not as worthy of pursuit as some others. I'm sure that is not your intent; perhaps you'd like to re-phrase?

I am unaware of any events in Columbus other than the July gaming convention I attended, and their Red White & Boom Independence Day celebration. Best of luck finding more interesting things to do! Be sure to swing by North Market if you are near the convention center (it is a block and a half due west).

As I said in the post; I am already attending an event in Columbus. That was the whole point of the post.

Your pointer to the North Market is the sort of thing I was looking for: Other interesting things to do in Columbus (as opposed to events I might attend that happen to be being held in Columbus).

The problem with being directionally challenge (as I am) is that I
cant tell other people where things are very well.

There's a bar "up the road" that has impressively awesome food. Nothing all that "local" but very tasty.

There's a Ned's down the other way.

The Ned's is likely walking distance from the convention center, the bar is a bit far.

Chak and J have a car, but that doesnt help you very much, now does it?

Well, my evenings are pretty well sewn up. The last bout of each day ends at about 10pm and there are parties after that...

I might stop in at this North Market thing...I was pretty excited to be able to go to the West Side Market while I was there until I realized I was thinking of the wrong Ohio city starting with "C".
