Resale-fu

There is a resale shop near where I live.

I don't know why, but every time I go in there, there is one Calphalon pan (Hard anodized interior, not the non-stick coated kind I don't like) on the shelf. Maybe two. I think the most I've ever paid for one of them is $12. The cheapest Calphalon pan you can get from anywhere is about $50. I have no idea who is donating them in ones and twos. I have no idea why no one else buys them. I have lots of Calphalon at this point. Today it was a 12" frypan for $7

But the best find of the day was an OPERA HAT! In a size that fits me (A little large as manufactured, but someone who knew what they were doing has sewn some thick wool bands into it to make it a little smaller). In perfect condition (it was a little dusty...like someone had spilled talc nearby. And it's been stored flat for a long time, so the side fabric needs to be de-creased a little). I've wanted one for...a long time. Decades.
This is about a $300 hat.
I paid $3.90 for it.

I win.
