Oh joy!
Inasmuch as I work closely with anyone here, it is Debbie. She's Myra's accounting helper, basically. She helps with the filing, with collections, etc. Once I'm done entering the checks into the billing system, she is the one who makes out the deposit slips and goes to the bank. She is the one who files the paperwork once I'm done shuffling and stamping it. She is the one who takes the past-due invoices out of my drawer and sends them on to the collection people.
She is taking a medical leave of absence/quitting/in any case gone.
More work for me (which is actually kind of a good thing; I spend much of my day bored stiff), but also more things for me to not be doing up to Myra's perfectionist fucking standards. And she is the one who, when Myra and Andre are not here (at least every Friday; often other days), covers the phones when I'm at lunch. Joy!
