Neglected Fandom Recs: Underworld/Underworld:Evolution
I stumbled upon "Underworld" and its sequel, "Underworld:Evolution" about a year ago and was completely.blown.away. It has been years since any movie entranced me like these have. Since then, I've seen each movie many, many times (probably should just buy the DVD) and have scoured the Internet for good fanfiction. Below are some of the best I've found so far.
Title: Pinnacle of Eden by MorningHell

Comment: I love Selene’s voice in this fic, how she resigns herself to having Michael in her life and then learns to love him on the other side.
Title: Starry Night by ephemereal
Rating: Hard R/NC-17
Summary: Michael's been expecting something like this, really, and is a little surprised it hasn't happened sooner.
“Help me, Selene,” he says after a moment. The words are intended as a joke, but she turns serious immediately, and he realizes he has struck a chord. “I’m lost without you.”
Comment: One thing that sucked me into the Underworld movies is the undeniable chemistry between Michael & Selene. This rec, along with the one below, fully explores that chemistry.
Title: Submissiveness and Domination by tranquility28
Rating: NC-17
Summary: The title pretty much says it all.
His touch was torturous - he was openly defying her need for coarse, stinging sensation. Selene knew, in the dark glint in his eyes as he watched her, that he was enjoying her utter submissiveness as much as she enjoyed his complete domination.
Title: Saving Michael by Mistiec
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Selene has been saving Michael from the first moment they met.
Michael, who gave her human love, loved her with a human heart, made love to her the way a human would, with words and kisses and soft touches. Fast and soft and rough and dirty, until she became addicted to it, intoxicated by him, until she needed to feel him, every morning, tasting the sun on his flesh and hearing the beat of his heart.
Comment: Mistiec’s words create such wonderful imagery here that I feel I’m in the room with Michael & Selene.

Summary: They spoke little, she and her beast - the thing she herself had created when she had shattered her world and everything that had meant anything to her. He was lost beside her, powerful and unique, unsure and weak, a faithful dog trailing after his new master. And still, he clutched the chain.
The fourth bullet caused him to hiss, a low mix of a growl and a sneer. The vibration of it she felt underneath her fingertips - she felt everything. The rushing of his blood, the shallowness of his breath, and she wondered if he needed to breathe anymore - if it was now just habit that he had fallen into because his organs were still somewhat alive and immortal.
Comment: How Michael-and Selene-deal with harboring Lucien’s memories. I really wanted to find an excellent Lucien/Sonja fic, but they’re in short supply. This is the next best thing.
