In order to conserve precious link space on our sidebar, we've limited our list of fandoms to only the ones we're currently reccing. By current, we mean within the last six months or so. If you want to see some of our past recs, we have a

Junk Cheap by Devil Doll--AU where Rodney is a local professor and John lives in the same building. I'm pretty in love with the way that John seduces him. R
"I'll guess I'll see you around, then," Rodney said, voice suddenly gone a little reedy. "Since we live in the same building and all."
If John was disappointed, it didn't show. He grabbed his toolbox off the counter. "Oh, I'm sure you will," he said, and Rodney could have sworn he smirked at him on his way out the door.
Match Point by foxxcub--Beach volleyball AU! This John is so hot I can't handle it. NC-17
"Actually, some moron chasing a damn Frisbee slammed into me mid-serve." The same voice is suddenly right behind him; Rodney jumps and nearly falls forward against the grill. He huffs out a sigh, looking over his shoulder to tell the guy he can get his own ball back.
.2-second gratuitous McKay/Sheppard ficlet and
infinite which is yes by aesc--Rodney and John and volleyball in Atlantis. Adorable. Um, more John playing sports, please. NC-17
Privately, Rodney thinks it's bad enough John's exposed them golf, but John's wearing his "You're my team and you do what I say" look, which is very authoritative and distracting, so Rodney resigns himself to a day of sand and sunburn and fending off John's attempts to make him play.
Proxy by Crysothemis--Rodney gets molested by an Ancient sex toy. NC-17
It was moving, moving astonishingly fast for something that had no legs. It rippled right out of the box and then somehow it leaped onto Rodney's jacket and stuck there, quivering.
The PURRRRRR-fect Solution (to unfortunate borderline abusive sex with military types), or, Build Me Up, Buttercup by crimsonclad--John's a bigger asshole than I usually like, and Rodney gets a cat to compensate. John redeems himself by the end though.
Sorry about the name Kate's note read. The SGC thought it best to send trained animals, and she's been called Buttercup since the day she was born. You can change it, of course, but she might not pay any attention.
A Novel of Romance by a Lady
by janne_d--This was recced in one of the top ten lists, but I'm doing it again, because it's pretty much the best thing ever. It's a Regency AU that features an oblivious Rodney and a dashing, charming John who bends over backwards in an attempt to impress Rodney. There's also excellent use of other characters like Kavanagh, Elizabeth, Daniel and Radek. NC-17
“When I turned up you had your head in a sack and were pinned to a tree. If I hadn’t intervened, you would still be a prisoner,” the man replied, rising carefully to his feet and stretching out a hand. Rodney took it automatically and found himself pulled to his feet before he was quite ready. He stumbled slightly and the man wrapped his arms round him and pulled Rodney close until he pushed away, feeling a little unnerved and more off-balance than before.
Misperception by janne_d--Rodney misses the point so spectacularly that it's almost mind blowing.
“Really?” asked Sheppard, eyes suddenly curious, “I think I missed those ones… whatever, that’s not the point. The point is that it was us. Don’t you think that it could change things? I mean between us, that things could be different…”
Of Pizza Bellies and Randy Colonels by Dianann--John finds a way to get Rodney's attention. NC-17
He rolled off the bed to his knees, and thank God he’d invested in his blow job rug, because it kept him from breaking his knee caps against the floor. He crawled two steps over to the loveseat, and he’d have snuffled his way right into the crease between thigh and groin if Rodney hadn’t put his foot on John’s chest and given him a shove. “Uh uh, I don’t think so.”
A Whole World of Trouble by sheafrotherdon--AU where John's a charming country singer in small town, and Rodney's new to the neighborhood. NC-17
It takes a while for John to make it to the bar after the first set - always does, women flirting close and persistent, the odd guy making cautious eye contact, friends slapping his shoulder and telling him he's too good for this crowd. He's careful to ease his way through the throng so that he'll hit the bar at Rodney's corner if the guy's still there - and he is, sipping another beer, hair damp and messy from the heat, blinking, surprised when he sees John.
Running Mate by lamardeuse--Rodney's taken up running with John, and John's...a little too happy with the situation. NC-17
When they reached the top - or rather, when Rodney finally reached the top about four minutes behind John - they stood side by side, leaning out over the railing. They were easily a good five hundred feet up, and John was reminded for the thousandth time that his home was absolutely spectacular.
I Am Your Image Dressed as the World by mirabile_dictu--A bit bleaker than I like my stories, but with a nice ending. Earth is gone, Rodney presumably gone with it, and John spends a lot of time alone. PG-13
He sat for a while in the pilot's chair, not that he needed to. The auto-pilot had been guiding them for so long. He was mostly a passenger, there just in case. He'd stopped asking how far or how long a long time ago. He just lived as best he could, quietly, tidily, in a puddlejumper far from home.
Where We Ought to Be by wojelah--Post-Sunday, John and Rodney go to Glasgow to give Carson's family the news. The original characters here are really great, as is the tangible grief of both John and Rodney. Read it, really, if only to see the spitfire that is Anna Beckett.
Carter dropped a thin, unlabeled manila envelope on the desk, where it glowed in the light from the lamp. "Itineraries," she said, "and the files we have on his family. From his security clearance. So you're not going in cold."
The House Call and
Three Visits and One Date by Lenore--Hooker!John AU! Why I'm so fond of these, I'll never know. NC-17
Sometimes, it's all simple seduction. John comes sauntering in, smiling that smile, and he takes Rodney's face in his hands. As they kiss, Rodney realizes with a start that he's missed him.
The Taming of The Fly by Quasar--Post-Conversion, Rodney stays with John as he changes. There's a weird walk down the path of 0Rodney having a sex-with-non-humans kink towards the end of the first part, but I chose to ignore that. The rest, with John slowly regaining his personality, one painful word at a time, is great. NC-17
Rodney knew it was just the scratching of an itch, but the gesture made him think of tears, and unaccountably his own eyes stung, too. "Come on," he said gruffly. "I've got some stuff lined up to watch. I think you'll like it. You remember Top Gun?"
Transition Point by Martha Wilson--Post-Conversion, Rodney has been avoiding visiting the Colonel. Teyla gives him the nudge he needs.
"What?" Rodney looked again, feeling his jaw drop. The heap was at the top of the bed, as if trying to get as far from the door as possible. He turned to stare at Carson. "What the hell? What did you do to him?"
