Psych
Fortune is on Our Side by emptythreat--This story has such a perfect Shawn voice that you really will think you're watching an episode. Hilarious!
"Gus! They can't prove that, and besides, who says it's against the law to be a fake psychic?" Shawn raised his hand when Gus opened his mouth and said, "Ms Cleo has only ever had to pay fines."
Entourage
The Best You Ever Had by shalott--Vince/Eric--Some stoned, public kissing. Lovely. NC-17
What the fuck is it?" Eric yelled as loud as he could; the guy yelled back, "The best you ever had," drew an X in the air and gave him a thumbs-up; Vince shrugged one shoulder at him and popped one in his mouth. Eric rolled his eyes, Jesus, but what the fuck was he going to do, let Vince go tripping alone, so he took the other.
Torchwood
For When It's Dark by giddygeek--Jack/Ianto--Jack and Ianto get a little lost in the underbelly of the Hub and have some interesting conversation. No rating.
Ianto takes stock. Really, the headache isn't so bad. Nothing else hurts particularly. There's only one area of concern. "Have I gone blind, sir, or is it dark?"
Doctor Who
Doctor/Rose & gen- 9 Recs
The Terminus of Prayer by cadhla--This is all about Nine, Rose and Jack thinking about their lives and loves during "The Parting of the Ways." PG
He's loved them all, the ones that danced with him, the ones that stood aside, all of them, even the ones who didn't stay, the ones who didn't mean to come, the ones who hurt him...all of them. How could he do anything but love them? They've been all he had, and now they're gone, not a one of them living in this time and place, not even Jack, one floor below and blown out just like a candle. Jack be nimble, Jack be quick...but it's over. He's loved them, and he still loves them, and he misses them all. Even Rose is dead now, dust for twenty thousand years. Everything dies.
Vast Eternity by cyropi--This is the story Jack, Rose and the Doctor saw Woman Wept, with the frozen waves. It's a great introspective and perceptive Jack voice, and I love the affection he feels for Rose and the respect he feels for the Doctor.
He heard Rose gasp, felt a warm curl of satisfaction at the sound. Very few people could help wanting to make Rose happy, as far as Jack had seen. The Doctor certainly couldn't. And Jack couldn't blame him, either.
Perpetual Motion by Meredith--After the Time War, the Doctor has to come to terms with surviving and being alone. The TARDIS helps him cope. I love the foreshadowing to later episodes. PG
He dispenses with this diabolical scheme easily and wonders how Five is doing with the giant mutant rats downtown. Well enough, he remembers, assuming he still exists here. There's so many reasons he might not.
The Smell of Safety by honorh--post-The Parting of the Ways, Rose finds she misses the little things about Nine. General.
There, that’s it. Leather, a touch of wool, and a slightly metallic tang, like (blood) the TARDIS herself. Tears prick her eyes, and she can’t even say why.
Roundabout by Casira--I love all of these vignettes about the adventures had by Rose, Jack and the Doctor. PG-13
The Doctor just grins cheerfully, ignoring the massive smear of goop across his nose, and hauls up the alien's severed head for a closer inspection. "Well, that's done, then." He swivels the head around to face her. "Charming fellow, eh?"
Six Impossible Things Before Breakfast by RD--It's Rose and Ten in snippets, disjointed and clever. PG
And one time, the Doctor lets Rose take the helm, standing behind to catch her hand should it stray off course. “Where will we end up?” she asks, loosening her grip on a lever, nudging a button. The TARDIS seems to answer with a guttural rumble. The Doctor’s hand drifts to Rose’s waist, inconspicuous.
Sundries and Oddments by themonkeycabal--More snippets of Rose and Ten. I like them in snippets, because I think that it corresponds to their manic, exciting relationship. PG
"Never saw you in one. Oh, wait, I did. In a picture of you with some family before the Titanic. Clive had it." She pauses and shakes her head with sad fondness. "Poor Clive. He was a bit of a nutter -- well, more than a bit -- but it was sort of like he really wanted to believe you were real, but wasn't quite sure he did."
Pipe Dreams by RD--Rose has started having dreams about what happened on Satellite Five while the Doctor tries to hide the truth from her.
"Could do," the Doctor says, never one to miss a beat. "It'd make customs and excise hell to get past, though." Rose feels herself smiling back already, and perches on the end of the desk. "What's up?" the Doctor asks gently, when her words are not forthcoming.
Local Customs by Mireille--Jack, Rose and the Doctor commit a little faux pas and have to bluff their way out of it.
"Told you," the Doctor said. "Rose, come here and hold this." He held out the sonic screwdriver. "I need to keep it aimed at this bolt here, and I don't have a third hand."
