Sometimes it Pays to Knock by kHo--Seth/Ryan--The classic situation here, used to great effect. Seth walks in on Ryan during an...intimate moment.
And maybe Ryan’s not masturbating. Maybe he’s just reading a book. With his shirt off. And his pants rucked down. And, ya know, one hand down his boxers. I mean, Al Bundy watched football that way, who’s to say Ryan can’t read Tolstoy or Dickens or even Stephen King that way.
Veronica Mars
Scattered Scars Like Constellations by sadiekate--Veronica/Weevil/Logan and all combinations--Do you really need more of a reason to read than the pairings? Ok, here's another: it's also scorchingly hot and in character.
“Like you ever could be,” Logan was teasing her, but not in a mean way. He was touching her in earnest now; he dragged blunt nails across the small of her back, and a shiver ran through her. She still wasn’t entirely sure of the rules, but she thought she might kind of like whatever game he was playing.

Surviving by lalejandra--Fraser/Kowalski--This is a long, angsty story that spans from Chicago to Canada and is about the connection between Fraser and Ray. I loved this, truly. Great ending, where the author gets it just right.
"So what was the deal with the Mountie?" said Charlie. "I know you said not to ask, but there's all this stuff from Canada in each file about liaising, and a bunch of reprimands that it looks like he wrote himself."
Good Times in the Northwest Areas or The Truth about the Buddy Breathing Incident by tx_tart--Fraser/Kowalski--It was good of tx_tart to give the title AND the summary of this story all at once. Saves me work. :)
Fraser’s on the sofa reading with one hand on Ray’s head, gently sliding his fingers through Ray’s hair. It feels good, the way that Fraser touches him. It always has.
Doctor Who
City of Loss by gwynnega--Post-The Parting of the Ways, Rose can't get over the way the Doctor's changed, and so he brings her to an old friend to help her figure it out. So angsty and beautiful.
The man turned around and regarded her with blue eyes that gave her a jolt of familiarity. "You're not Romana," he said mildly. "And I'm the Doctor."
Dreamers Often Lie by Camilla Sandman--Rose/Nine--Rose is captured and being tortured into forgetting the Doctor. Only Rose is stronger than she looks.
"I am Rose Tyler and I travel in time with the Doctor! It's not lies! He'll come for me! He'll come!"
Indomitable by Kate Andrews--Ten/Rose--You know that Ten's acute sense of taste would turn up in fics, didn't you?
The Doctor grabbed her head, brushed her hair back, and dragged his tongue up her neck. She heard a few of the guests gasp.

No Man's Woman by ParadiseKendra---(Alias)--The one thought I have after every viewing of this vid is "damn, I wish the song was longer." She uses great clips, and this really is Sydney's theme song. If you don't know, this is the song that plays as Sydney comes crashing into the wall with the mini-red ball-o-doom in the pilot. AWESOME. (Link goes to youtube)
Queer as Folk UK - If you know me, you know that I am pretty much obsessed with this series. And if you have never seen the wonder and awesomeness that is QAFUK, give these vids a go. You trust me, don't you? And what is it, like five minutes of your life? And then, when you fall in love, you can come back here or go to my web site and work your way through my recs. And then! You can write your own S/V fiction for me to rec here, thus completing the circle. Okay?
Little Brother by Killa--(Queer as Folk UK)--You have to search for the fic in her library, but it's not hard to find, and it's worth it. The song is by Blue Oyster Cult, and it's a perfect fit to show the strange, complicated connection between Stuart and Vince. (Edited: Link apparently not working!)
Brothers on a Hotel Bed by obsessive24--(Queer as Folk UK)--A great Stuart/Vince overview of the show, with emphasis, obviously, on the hotel bed scene from the second series. This vid also gives respect to the peripheral characters of the show, such as Nathan, Alexander and Hazel, showing their struggles and the way that their lives revolve around and affect Stuart and Vince. (Link goes to vidder's LJ)

Fix You and Possession by aracelimaura--(Doctor Who)--Both of these are brilliant. So perfectly edited and so bittersweet. Both are tributes to Rose. Spoilers through the end of series two. (Both links to youtube)

Goodbye My Lover by Deadflowerss--(Doctor Who)--I'm a little nervous about posting this here, because it's a youtube video, but the creator didn't post it him/herself. So if anyone has a more legit link, I'd like to change it. But for now, this is a great, angsty tribute to Nine and Rose. (Edit: Here's the link at the vidder's LJ)
Goodbye My Lover by sp00ky89--(Doctor Who)--So I guess this is the DW anthem, huh? This is a tribute to Rose, with spoilers through the end of series two. Usually I think having the characters speaking over the music is silly and doesn't work, but this one mostly uses it to good effect. (Link goes to youtube)
