Waaaaah, it's been a while, huh? I really thought I'd do a post during the Christmas holidaus, but I guess I ended up being a little busier than I thought I would. Anyway, Happy New Year to all of you! I hope 2008 started out like you wanted it to.:)

Oh, I've been coloring like a madwoman since I discovered BLEACH (my new obsession!! Like I don't get new obsessions often enough:D). My sister (who is just naturally talented when it comes to icons and the like) has showed me the basics of shading and light and stuff, and even though you can't actually see it in these icons, I think I've improved a little! The big bonus that comes with coloring is learning to take time making each icon, I find. Since I spend about 30-45 minutes coloring a manga page (when I'm doing it properly), I've learned to take almost as long MAKING the actual icon as well. I think it shows a bit, as the number of simple, textless icons has decidedly decreased for this entry (at least among the Bleach ones). I think that might also be because I have fallen in LOVE with so many of the characters in Bleach, and I feel like I owe them a bit more effort when iconing them (yes, I know they're fictional, but we all suffer from certain delusions! :D).

LOL, I don't know why I need to write an ESSAY about my new icons each time I post them, but I do. It's like I'm showing my little (icon)babies out to the world and I want everyone to look at them. Although, I know most people probably ignore all ranting and go straight for the icons, anyways. That's what I would do! HAH, and that's what I'm gonna do now!
