Get better
Jilly's had a sinus infection running for a couple weeks. Last Wednesday she told us her nose hurt, that combined with bloody snot on Thursday meant we took her to the doctor on Friday.
He prescribed a compounded antibiotic/saline solution. 2-3 times a day, 5-7 days. Poor thing. She hates nose drops with a hysterical passion, but I explained that the medicine would help her and get her better. So, she's been dutifully climbing up next to us, laying back and crying after it's over (with lots of hugs) while she just repeats over and over "get better."
She's been the archetype of a trooper. It's hard not to be proud of how good she's been about this thing that she really hates.
The worst thing, though, is that it's now been 7 days. Here it is Thursday. She's not better. If anything, she's worse. She wasn't congested on top of it, before, and now she is. She's got some serious snot running out, and a cough on top of it. Food has been a near absolute no-go.
I checked out her throat last night with my 'scope to see if the drip had given her a sore throat. No, so that's good. She let me check her ears, too, and they were fantastic. It's just her poor stuffed up nose that she's been trying to claw off her face because it hurts. Sadface.
So, today I'm going to have to attempt to get her to the doctor. Blerg.
