Because your City which has been so fabulously tethered to this version of reality is going on a trip! Sort of. Fortunately, it knows when it will be back again, but that isn't going to stop it from taking all its citizens along with it so that a few wrongs can be righted.

Between the 12th and the 19th, as reported by the Calendar, the City is going to be traveling to a few different worlds. While technically the City will be moving, think of it like a tesseract from A Wrinkle in Time. The City is a crossroads of all worlds, and there always have been and always will be links between the City and the worlds that characters trapped within it have come from. Right now those links are weakened, leading the City to opening up pathways into these other worlds. Essentially, the City is "moving" without "moving," slipping into other worlds that citizens can actually step into and explore.

Why is it doing this? You might remember those generators that were so unceremoniously charged up at the end of the harpy attacks a few months ago. Well, those can't last forever, and they've proven unable to cope with the added energy from the Clock's return to power. In an attempt to prevent the City and its people from suffering similar consequences (and potentially worse), the deities are taking the entire place on a road trip in order to gather materials necessary to reestablishing the power of the original generators. Within the worlds that the City will be traveling to, the deities will at one point be tasking citizens to find seemingly mundane objects that they will then be able to use to stabilize the City once and for all.

Citizens will find themselves able to walk outside of the City's gates, where they will discover, rather than the forest and beach, one of the world's listed below. Careful! Said worlds aren't without their dangers, and trying to stay behind in them once the City is preparing to flee within 24 hours will lead to Citizen's death. While there is a death exemption for this event, Citizens will only come back to life on the City premise 24 hours after (please be rigorous about respecting this timeframe!)

What will those items be? The deities will be happy to let you know when the time comes. What will the worlds be? We can tell you that right now:Day 1: Pigs in Space → the City is beamed up to a space station-type plane of reality. Think Cowboy Bebop, or Babylon 5, or a mesh of both - visiting Citizens will find the City has appeared in the middle of a cluster of small space city districts, set on a platform possibly infested with alien life. Thankfully, the premise sustains oxygen and 'normal' gravity! Meanwhile, encounters with all manners of friendly or less than friendly E.T.-wannabes are entirely at player discretion - as is the issue of whether said aliens can communicate with characters. Be on the look out for some familiar Steward faces here, and for the introduction of previously mentioned items - another info update will be revealed today.

Day 2: Clever Girl → take a stroll through the forest or down by the water, but hope you won't run in to anything nasty. The deities hope you're wearing a comfortable pair of shoes just in case of Gallimimus stampedes.

Day 3: World War Z → welcome to the streets of LA! Unfortunately, you're less likely to see Paris Hilton and more likely to take a headshot at the nearest member of the walking dead trying to eat your brains.

Your journey starts at the beautiful Santa Monica Pier where the waves are cool and the pretty people even cooler, if there were any people. The ferris wheel's still running, the boardwalk music's still playing, there are cars with keys still in the ignition--nobody walks in LA----but the entire place is empty. Travel farther east on the 10 Freeway and take in the sight of downtown. Doesn't look so snazzy does it? That's because zombies love a concrete jungle and they've made Los Angeles strictly theirs. This is what happens when people turn one by one until there's no place left on earth that doesn't have the taint of the undead. In this world zombies are the majority and humanity is scarce (with the occasional NPCable victim, rebel, or cannibal). Even the local wildlife are infected. The walking dead may not be able to turn visitors (this means you, citizens) but what does that matter to a hungry zombie? They'll just have you for dinner.

Day 4: Swash Swash Buckle Buckle → adventure on the high seas! Scallywags and scurvy! Or maybe you'd rather spend this pit stop holed up in a tavern somewhere. Or a brothel.

Today, Citizens will find that immediately beyond their gates lie perilous ports, and farther on, the great Ocean! Those who wander through the port can be invited as paying passengers, or recruited as crew on various NPC-run ships - the Captains do promise safe passage to the nearest sanctuary, or item location, after all. Alas, mateys, beware! Once at sea, these fine ships will hoist their true colours, declaring those who've boarded as their merchandise in slave trades. Whether through parley, commandeering a ship, or even good ol' swimming, it's up to you to find a way to get the poor residents back on the safety of their shore. Enjoy the mermaids, ghost ships and storms - ho, ho, ho, and please bring your own rum!

Day 5: One Fantasy to Rule Them All → consider this the scenic route. The City will stopping at the borders of the Kingdom of High Fantasy--in the tradition of Lord of the Rings or The Last Unicorn or similar flights of fantasy. Trek across high mountain passes, encounter elves and orcs, glimpse dragons and unicorns (or ride them?), carry out daring quests, see the great and mythical cities, meet with wizards and sorcerers, witness epic battles between great armies, listen to goblin song and dwarf lore, hear the words of the great kings and lords of the land, behold the making of the great legends. There may not be any Rings to find, but there's wonder and power and myth enough to spare. It's not all pastel unicorns and talking animals and elves in fur loincloths here: mind where you go and it might not be a bad idea to keep a sword at hand...

Day 6: The World Next Door → This world seems to be your average, everyday Tokyo, if your average, everyday Tokyo is routinely outfitted with mecha-armies. It's all fun and games going shopping in Shibuya or wanting to take your City friends to check out the temple in Asakusa, but make sure you don't run foul of an armored patrol, because while you may be trying to enjoy yourselves, the citizens here seem much more tense, like something's about to happen. And watch out for dark streets at night, because why else does mankind create such an army if not to defend themselves from something? Keep your eyes and ears peeled, not just for robots and their enemies, but for the transaction characters may overhear that might prove of interest...
Citizens will find themselves unable to bring any 'souvenirs' (including living creatures!) from these foreign worlds back into the City, with the noted exception of the items which they will be assigned to collect.

That's all for now! There will be more information coming on June 12th, so keep an eye out for that, but if anyone does have any questions, please feel free to ask
