Trufax: I actually went to bed, started to fall asleep, remembered that today was HMD, and got back out of bed to be here for this. You know, in case anybody needed any further confirmation that I am a huge dork.

Rosella's taken a lot of emotional hits since the last HMD, so she's been kind of a mess lately; I hope she's been coming off as believably sad and learning to let go without being too outright wangsty. Proto's been quiet because he's nearing the end of his run in Poly, I think. And I've been trying to be better about making Rudy sound both Canadian and 80's.

Also, I love answering questions, so please feel free to ask and potentially get a wall of my tl;dr in return! ♥

I know you've said you've been thinking about giving Rosella some time to unwind, and I've kind of have to agree with that: she's been involved in a lot of events lately, some of which outright traumatizing, and my concern is that it's not giving her enough time to, well, recover and adapt (and that it's not giving you enough time to incorporate recent development into her characterization). So yessum, maybe give her some respite? >>!

In hindsight, if I had the chance to do the past three months or so over again, I probably wouldn't have had her get involved with both the Tickler and the graveyard plots, on top of everything else she was dealing with. I mean, I enjoyed both of them and they gave her plenty of interesting things to think about at the time, but it was a lot in a short amount of time, especially with the other considerations on top of it.

I did try to show--and I don't know how well it came off, but the intent was there--that she kind of stopped caring about taking care of herself for a while after Sam left. She was commenting to people at really late hours ICly, falling asleep on duty in the library, sucking down coffees like her life depended on it, and just kind of drifting along through everyday life. But I never really tried to outright draw attention to it, just had her mention things and drop hints once in a while.

I love Rosella, but you know that. I am a little worried about how much she's taken lately, with people leaving and hearts breaking and stuff, and I think some time to unwind might be good for her to build her CR up and for her to remember that there is good stuff around her all the time. However I don't think she's coming off as too wangsty: sad stuff happened and she's sad, but she still smiles and she still tries her best. I loved playing with her during the school curse, btw!

Rudy is such a fantastic troll because you don't give any way: if he's having a troll moment he's having a troll moment and that's all there is to it. I also like that you brought it some headcanon for him last grab bag. It's nice to see some of the reasoning you give as to his sports issues.

HOKAY, SO, I’ve only seen a couple of clips with her and looked her up, so obviously, dismiss this completely if you don’t think it fits canon, but --- I think she’s a bit too muted, sometimes? You handle her old-school-old-blood-old-money (lol, let’s not get into how she earned her money) indignation really well, and she definitely comes off as noble - but knowing whom she’s supposed to represent, I don’t… see her as that alluring? Not on a sexual sense, I completely understand the girl’s no hor, but she is someone whose attentions people should be struggling to attain, someone whose very presence should intoxicate them, I think? MAYBE?

I've finally read all the Chrestomanci books (thank you, book trust) and so I finally feel a little secure in telling you that your voice for Christopher is spot on. You really have the feeling of his indignation at events (particularly curses) down. What I would like to see is him more involved in things: I think Christopher is sort of a nosy individual by nature (lets face it, even when his job is to say, get something done, he can't help but MUCH AROUND ELSEWHERE). That may be an activity thing (because you've hiatused) but that's just a thought!

The first time I tried watching Darker Than Black I dropped it after the second episode, so I have some sympathy for you there. :C I hope to do more plotty things with him in the future!

I think that the Cat is adorable, and Peeta would take her home to feed her tuna and keep her safe but he doesn't think Katniss would appreciate it. I'm looking forward to seeing more from that character.
