Morning! Or it is for me which means I'm punchy right now.

I have to admit, I had my reservations about Reinette because I think she's a difficult character to play. When you start looking at the historical aspects of her (which you do play with) she's a very complex, intimidating and fascinating person. However, threading with you have taken all of these reservations away. I think you do a great job with her, hitting all the personality notes that we see both in fiction and in history. She's been a lot of fun to play with and I look forward to doing more in the future. I'm only sad that I never really got to have her and Inara interact because they are so the same person with several centuries separating them in so many ways.

This is my second time around playing her, and this time I've tried (hesitantly for fear of fucking it up) to bring in more of the historical aspects of her, and not just what they say about her in the show. I kind of wanted to flesh her out a little more, because she's quite the bamf woman irl, and it just- makes me feel a lot better to hear that I'm not bungling it.

Hey- All the more reason to bring Inara back, amirite?

He does seem like an incredibly intimidating character to play, which is why you will never see me attempting a huge character like him or the Doctor. But the way you play him, I think you have absolutely nothing to worry about /o/

So, Reinette. Her voice is so consistent, it's ridiculous. She's only been around for a little while, and already I've gotten such a strong impression of her voice, her character, her personality...basically, whatever it is you're doing, keep doing it, because UR DOIN IT RITE. She can be cultured and polite when she has to and she can be strong and determined when the situation calls for it. Really, she reminds me of a quote from one of my favorite books, which described a similar character to hers--"She may seem like a [graceful] bird, but she's as tough as any soldier and she weighs her options like a silk merchant."

In short, keep it up, you are awesome, and I can't wait to throw Mr. Lineface at her even more. ♥

The book is called Servant of the Empire, by Raymond Feist and Janny Wurts. It's the second in a trilogy of books called the Empire Trilogy, which are in and of themselves companion books to Feist's Riftwar series. They're a really fantastic read and I'd recommend them to anyone, but there's a lot to go through for it all to make sense. Anyway, the lady the quote is describing, Lady Isashani, is basically one of the few female rulers in a heavily, rigidly patriarchal society, and at one point two other characters in the book sit around and discuss how she uses this to her advantage. Her son promptly delivers that quote.

Aaaaaaaaaand it reminds me of Reinette, because I think she's much the same way. :D

IDK I seriously have nothing to crit you on because you've got her voice down perfectly, from her personality to her speech patterns and just eeeeeverything. *_* I look forward to having more other-Doctor awkwardtimes with her in the future~
