Seriously though, you do a good job with both your characters and the interactions are always fun and interesting for me with Hikari and Tsubaki. Ahiru is just loveable and never forgets her roots as a duck, which adds to your grasp on her I think.

As for Chrono, I understand your thoughts, but for me I don't see an issue. Every fan will have different interpretations, and in games like this you can be creative in character expansion, it's part of the fun. I see the sense in what you've developed, and I don't think it's OOC at all. I've taken such steps with my characters, so I get how you can feel unsure, but I think you've kept the essence of Chrono throughout, so no problems. ^^~

I'm glad Ahiru still comes across as...duck-ish. That's a hard balance sometimes, I think--throwing out hints about her still being a duck that don't seem gimmicky or forced.

For what it's worth, I'm in the same boat as you. (Except my illness turned out to be just allergies. -_-;)

I also think you're fretting too much, because both of your characters are still rocking. Probably, I would like to see Ahiru do a little more?

And oh, Chrono. XD (Or "Deux Angst Machina" as I call him.) I think what you've done so far, concerning things that were never covered in canon, have made sense. As long as nothing else becomes too out there, you should be okay.

Yeah, Ahiru...I'm actually sort of struggling with her. Her voice isn't as strong to me as Chrono and I'm not really sure what to DO with her anymore. I possibly need a canon refresher.

LOL yes that's pretty accurate. XD Alex likes to talk about how Chrono brings an "angst ocean" with him everywhere. I'm glad it's making since though! Out of curiosity, what do you think would be "too out there"?

Thanks. I'm feeling mostly better by now, thanks to resting my head all day.

I can understand that. That's why I've been trying to throw Akiha at her more often lately. But the most I see out of that is her reminding Ahiru of Rue before they became friends. And even that's a stretch, as Akiha's kind of lowered her personal defenses a bit, what with people being desensitized to the idea of walking around with non-humans, and being no longer at risk of Inversing (save the odd curse or two, which people shrug off at anyway).

By "too out there", mostly I mean covering all the exact details of demon biology/lifestyle and Christianity, basically getting all Tolkienesque every time someone asks. Especially if it's something that will never come up again, or gets into TMI territory. (And really, Chrno Crusade's version of Christian theology isn't perfect anyway.) Another thing I can think of is Chrono becoming business-savvy overnight, especially as he gets close to opening his bakery.

I can see her reminding Ahiru of that, but at the same time, that might be interesting? But...hmm, new friends are always a good thing. I'll try to throw Ahiru at her, too.

Oooh, lol, Tolkienesque. XD I can actually see myself doing that, I'm a bit anal aaand I'm a fan of Tolkien. I can see why that would be bad, though, particularly for Chrono, since he's....not really a scholar. So basically don't throw out details for the hell of it, and don't have him, say...jump characterization too quickly. (Particularly in being a brainiac, because...Chrono's...not one. XD) Both of those make sense to me.

I honestly love how you play your characters. Whenever I read you posts I completely hear their voices in my head, and I think you work hard at staying in character and having them interact with others.

I'd like to play with Tutu more, since Yuuki is friends with Rue. Especially I'd like to try and poke her with Kobato, whom I think it would just be all kinds of adorable interaction.

Thank you! I'm really glad I've left a good impression with them! I'll try to throw Ahiru more at Yuuki. Would you prefer that both Chrono and Ahiru talk to her, or...just Ahiru? (I never know with them, I feel weird tagging the same posts since it seems like they know half of the same characters. XD; )
