No, I'm sorry. :( I'd love to allow original fiction but I think we'd have a bit more difficulty getting fanmixes and fanart for it in a challenge that's centered on fanfic.
Sex doesn't have to be involved in any way! The point of the challenge is to showcase polyamorous relationships, which do not necessarily include kinky sex on the kitchen table or anything. :)
Can I suggest making that clear in your promos or on the community info page? I suppose the use of lots of fanfic lingo indicates that, but not being a fanfic writer, I don't know what all the lingo and acronyms mean and I had to read quite a ways into this before I found this comment and realized my work wouldn't be eligible.
If you're interested in doing this over again for original fiction (or at least original fiction inclusive), I would totally be down with that. So long as there's detailed physical descriptions of the characters, it gives artists something to work with (and if there isn't, it gives artists more leeway to create whatever image popped into their heads). Getting someone's artistic vision of my original characters would be more than worth it.
I will edit the post and the community info to clarify this; thank you for pointing that out.
The pool of interest for original fiction tends to be smaller within fandom circles (from my experience), which is why I'm hesitant to include that in this challenge, but I'll open a discussion post about it to the community. What I'm thinking would be best, though, is to have a big bang challenge dedicated specifically to original fiction. Someone else would probably have to run that, but I'd love to participate.
