Hey everyone, Eri here with a few ideas for you all to yay/nay at.
Maintainer-ship of poly_police
First, I'm wondering if any of you would be against my PMing snapofmyfingers for maintainership so we can clean this comm up a little and make it more user-friendly. If I can't, would you be inclined to join a new community we could have control over?
Has been transferred to cuffyoutwice and justcautious! We're in the process of organizing/reposting/prettifying.
PF recruits
Second is how you think we might approach getting the police a little bit beefed up? We could rely on NPC recruits if you'd like, but I was thinking maybe gauging interest in TLDR, seeing if there'd be use for a "Police Academy" which p much would just be noobs joining the police on probation, giving them a partner already on the PF so that you and they could get some CR built with someone you don't know.
Keeping the force small for now seems to be a popular idea, though everyone does seem to want to expand at some point. In the interest of time, the dynamics of crime within the City and how criminals will be dealt with post-PF with no legal system I'm definitely seeing that this would be a better approach to a new start.
(In the future, we'll probably look into some type of recruitment, we had a lot of good ideas thrown around in the comments regarding growing and maintaining the Force, so we'll keep them stirring and catalogue everything for when we get to that point.)
Divisions & Communication
Anybody think we need new divisions and shall we designate some more filters for communication ICly on the whole? Division-wide, building-wide, etc
Should stand as is! Another example of keeping things simple thus far and expanding or changing in the future.
Chief of Police
Since there's been talk of it ICly I'd feel more comfy if we discussed the Chief business OOCly.
Kate's been nominated in a way to be the Head of PF by Justin and Chris, and I'd be happy to play her at it. If you think it wouldn't work for some reason or was hoping for someone else to take over, let us all know here and once we get some names in the mix, maybe we'll take a vote or talk through to some kind of consensus!
TLDR - want Beckett to be your Chief? If not speak up!
Due to a few issues brought up about Beckett's character, I think it might make everyone more comfortable to have an official vote put up about it.
