The Boondocks was at first a syndicated comic strip created by one Arron McGruder which after years of pissing off publishers has made the jump to the realm of animated goodness. Anyways the story follows the Freeman family(Huey, Riley, and Robert) as they go about their daily lives. While it sounds like a tried plot...it isn't. The Freemans basically have to deal with events which at the same time poke fun at race relations as well as American culture as a whole. And they accomplish this by going to ridiculous lengths, going as far to describe black-on-black violence being a leading killer of black men between the ages of 15 and 24 behind pork chops and FEMA. Also seeing Huey go through the day being the only sane person in the chaos of his neighborhood.
Not to mention seeing what would happen if Martin Luther King Jr. was alive to see how people would take his stance on nonviolence in the wake of 9/11.
As of now there's only the Huey Freeman in the game but just continue on below to see some other people who could possibly grab your attention.
This here is Robert Freeman, better known as Grandpa to Huey and Riley. Robert is a former Tuskegee Airman and was a participant of the Civil Rights movement. He's also very selfish when it comes to doing things that he wants. He's completely out-of-touch with modern culture, although he's quite adapt at using MySpace in trying to get dates. Though that typically backfires on him. Also he's a master of every child's worst fear, belt-fu.
Riley Freeman, Huey's eight-year-old brother and complete foil to his character. The boy is heavily into gangsta lifestyle popularlized by rap videos and other facets of urban culture. Unlike Huey, Riley is crass, uses poor grammar, and will feverishly defend his idols or a particular style even when it for the most part lacks any form of sense. He also uses airsoft guns and is quite adapt at using them...though he's still no match for his brother who constantly beats him back down everytime he tries to do something stupid. He also loves to refer to things, people, or situations that he doesn't like as "gay". But for all his negative points he shows that he's gifted when it comes to art.
This cock-eyed maniac is Uncle Ruckus. No relation. Ruckus is a self-depricating black man who will do nothing but talk about the inferiority of the black race as a whole while uplifting white people to the point that they're veritable Gods. With his attitude he's constantly at odds with Huey though he does show a soft-spot for Huey's only friend, only due to the fact that she's half-white.
The aforementioned friend from the previous description. Jazmine is Huey's only friend, or the only person who can bother to attempt to befriend the pessimistic child. Unlike the boy, Jazmine is bubbly, nice, optimistic, and highly naive to the point where she believes Santa is a deity. It's this naivety that causes her to be subjected to Huey's sarcastic comments to no end, but that really doesn't stop her cheery personality. Though she does show she has problems dealing with the fact that she's mixed.
If there was any two people who anger Huey the most it would be these two wiggers right here. Ed Wuncler the Third and Gin Rummy. Both are parodies of George Bush and Donald Rumsfield if the two happened to be well...wiggers. While being best friends they happen to have slightly differing personalities with Ed being dumber and enjoys what Rummy calls "Nigga Technology" and Rummy being smarter and despising the technology Ed so loves.
A Pimp Named Slickback, you say his name like A Tribe Called Quest. He's a pimp that also doubles as a life coach to help men get over as he calls it "bitch dependency". Needless to say hilarity ensues when he's around.
Colonel Motherfuckin' Stinkmeaner, holla at ya boy, he gets money! A angry, old, and blind black man that hates the world as a whole. He talks alot of trash and dies. He ends up in Hell where he takes a levels up in badass to the point where he's the only one to call the Devil himself a "bitch ass nigga". He gets sent back to Earth to spread ignorance and confusion amongst the Black Community. Naturally it fails but he goes out screaming about how he'll return.
There's a lot of other characters to attempt to app and each one with their own unique personalities and quirks. I promise that you'll enjoy yourself playing any character from this series. So go out and watch and be enabled, ya.
