HISTORY:
Luck Gandor "brought" Cassagioso to the City in April of 2008, and recruited
Zolf Kimblee as a "shady" business partner to be "up when I am down, down when I am up". However, when Luck exited the City in August of the same year, Kimblee ended up sole owner.
Little changed during the alchemist's tenure as proprietor - if you discount employee mental state - save what generally happens with time. The office experienced the most adjustments as Kimblee added a couch , if one didn't already exist, and rearranged furniture to suit his taste. Another noteworthy addition to said room is a
stone statue of himself - a detailed replica of his person while under the
spell of a certain
White Witch in November of 2008 - which only he is allowed to use as a hat/coat rack.
With
Luck's return in July of the following year, Kimblee gladly stepped aside as lone proprietor and, by all appearances, back into his previous role. He left the City at the end of that September, leaving Luck once more the sole owner and proprietor of the establishment.
FAQ:
1) Is Cassagioso hiring?
Always~
2) Is there a uniform and/or dress code for Cassagioso employees? It's an old-fashioned place, but I think Kimblee loosened the rules a bit. No specific uniform is provided, yet strict guidelines do exist. Think black on white and tailored in that timelessly classic way, but not all-together formal. If you're matching what the management
is wearing, consider yourself having passed the litmus test ;)
3) Why hasn't Kimblee blown Cassagioso up yet, especially when Luck wasn't around? Good question. If you're only familiar with the character from the first anime series that may be part of it, because his manga version is a bit different. However, If the following doesn't shed enough light, feel free to poke his
mun: "The alchemist had never considered becoming a businessman. The current situation possessed monetary benefits, of course, but any courtesy towards Luck's economically-inclined passions, or the duties of their arrangement, had long since expired. His heart's desire lay elsewhere, and still did, but Kimblee saw little point in denying that the modest establishment was growing on him. A haven of warm, dusky tones where crooners wailed a soft lament through smoky air ... Cassagioso's ambiance hearkened delicately at that deeply sentimental moment right before the sun finished setting over a spent and smoldering battlefield ..."
