My dog's eyelid surgery
My dog had a small round growth on his lower right eyelid. It was small for a while then started growing and bleeding a bit so, I took him to the vet to have it removed. Turned out to be a sebaceous gland carcinoma, aka cancer. :(
Hopefully doc got it all off him before it spread. Though doc tells me it is not an aggressive type and it should stay localized even if he didn't get it all. Fingers crossed hoping it does not growing back.
My boy is 7 and a half years old, about middle age for a German Shepherd. He is a big guy and generally in good health, no allergies and he can eat anything (and pretty much does). Picking him up from daycare once I was told "Oh, Kodi pooped out a sock" and they gave it to me in a zip bag. An intact gym sock covered in.. well.. you know! Yuck!! He loves to chew on wayward socks or garden gloves. Silly canine.
With a bit of luck, I'm still looking forward to lots more years with my best buddy.
