Just got my official layoff notice. My position is being eliminated. Not a surprise, my whole team has been expecting this for a while. None of us will be left by the end of the year. Just didn't know exactly when it would happen. But still... :(
My seniority means I get 6 weeks notice rather than being kicked to the curb today. Time enough, maybe, to look for a new internal position or find something external. Should have updated my resume before now. Can't put it off any longer.
In better news, puppy sitting for a friend today. Yay puppy energy!
