Company merger. Projects I work on being canceled. No telling what may happen in the next few weeks/months. *Worried*

*hugs* I'm sure everything will work out. They always do one way or another, usually not in the way you expect, but nonetheless.

There is a good chance I will be transferred to some other project. I'll know more next week.

Don't worry bear. I am sure that your boss will find some dirty and nasty job that he does not want to do him self so you're keep busy.

I did wonder what might be happening to you when i heard of the merger. I hope that everything will be OK, but it might be sensible to have a plan B up your sleeve just in case.

After all i was made redundant, and although things have been a bit shakey at the new place its been a postive experience:)

Yes, I am preparing a plan B. Good to hear your redundancy has worked out positively though. :)

The IT market in my area is rather saturated with job seekers currently. As a possible alternative, I have always had an interest in going into catering, though I am sure Kuma would find that idea horrifying. :)

NOOOOOOOOO !

Ask Caz on SL, he'll back me up, its like Gordon Ramsey with MORE Swearing ^^

I did it as a lil' cub at College as Computers kinda didn't exist back then [People thought they *Were just a fad*] So I took General Catering thinking it was a sensible option, but the hours are terrible, and its a lot of pressure etc.

Actually WOULD have liked to have done Art, Fashion Design or even Hairdressing but that would have been a bit - "Hoist the Gay Pride Flag Captain !!" [+ My Machismo Dad would have gone crazy, don't think he was mad keen on me doing Catering thinking about it]

You were right about the last bit.

Just one thought though don't open a resturant cafe etc using your savings, i've seen many good idea ventures crash and burn recently because of the climate.
