Of being alone
Today, i was out running and another cute old man waved at me as he passed me on his bike, said "hao!" and gave me a thumbs up. I responded with two thumbs up :) Little things like these make my day. Thankful for little joys in life when all else seems uncolourless.
Working life for the past 1 year and 4 months (almost) hasn't been easy, and wow it does sound like a long time. I think there have been more downs than ups.. But as always, I have to consciously remind myself of how I should rightfully be grateful for what I have, and more importantly, to be truly thankful for such blessings, which so many people around this world do not get to enjoy. At least as a working adult, i gain the financial freedom that allows me to do things i wouldn't have been able to do previously - like donate a proper sum of money to the aid/relief work for the people in the Philippines. It feels good to actually be able to do something, although its really not much at all..
