Dear neighbourhood,
Frankly, making delicious garlicky cooking smells on the breeze around dinner time is cruelty itself. If you must make such smells, surely it is only fair to knock on all the doors around and offer the residents a portion? Perhaps you could pay special attention to the student households with very little in their fridges and a very late dinner time scheduled (that would be mine, by the way).
