I originally read that as "Jeeves needs to have a past lover named Cyril Genius" and thought, not only is he pretentious enough to be named Cyril, he has to call himself Genius too? What was Jeeves thinking?

Oh my god he totally would! He would do it by making sure Sherlock ALWAYS had a case to work on, and so never had a legit reason for shooting up. All without Sherlock noticing...until a lot later.
